    Nancy Latimer, F.N.P.

    Santa Rosa Sports Med

Nancy Latimer began her nursing education at the California College of Medical Affiliates in San Francisco.   She went on to obtain an RN, then continued her collection with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of California at Davis.    There, Nancy furthered her studies with specialty training in Family Medicine and the care of adolescents.  She also received additional training in dermatology and skin surgeries at the California Skin Institute.

Between educational stints, Nancy joined the San Mateo County Outpatient Clinic, where she worked in the Breast Cancer Detection Program and HIV services for women.   After obtaining her FNP degree she went into private practice in Los Altos.   Nancy and her family of four relocated to Sonoma County in 2000, where she worked at the Petaluma Health Center caring for the underinsured before returning to private practice at Tamalpais Family Practice in Larkspur.  There her experienced care and sunny personality earned Nancy a loyal following of women and adolescent patients.  Tired of the Marin commute, she took the opportunity to work with teens in Santa Rosa, managing a high school-based Health Center.  Nancy joined our team in 2010, bringing over ten years of expertise in the evaluation and treatment of full spectrum primary care for people of all ages.

Away from the job, Nancy enjoys yoga, pilates, fencing (of all things!) and museum gift shops. She is a regular at Montgomery High School theater productions and supports the arts throughout Santa Rosa area schools.  Born in New York City, Nancy loves Sonoma County, but enjoys travel as well: her first dream trip was going to Kenya at age 16.
